Beauty lives in perspective
Beauty is everywhere, if you slow down enough to notice it. Oftentimes perspective can change the most ordinary places to small wonders. Quiet streets, crowded squares, or just a simple flower that is not where it should be. These photographs are about those moments in time of appreciation of the simple. Thank you for visiting! About
This work is an appreciation for society, for the value of time, for the weight of a single moment that deserves to be admired. I'm an expath from Belgium living in Berlin with Italian roots. I try to capture things in the way they are.
Vergänglich was the only honest name. The act of capturing something beautiful is inseparable from the awareness that it's already gone. Shot across Berlin, Chicago, Havana, Belgium, black and white, colour, grain and stillness. Every image is an argument against forgetting, and proof that joy is everywhere if you look.
The camera is a Fujifilm Xpro-2, and the imperfections are intentional.
Thank you.
